Weather Policy

We will always plan to meet rain or shine!​

For safety reasons, we will have some weather that we will close.

Lightning - Per the National Weather Service recommendation, we will bring children inside the home immediately in the case of lightning. We will give it 30 minutes inside. If we hear thunder again during that time, parents will have 30 minutes to pick up their child once contacted. If it is lightning before the school day begins, we may have a delayed opening.

Temperature- If the National Weather Service issues an extreme cold warning or heat advisory for Wake County we will close. We may have a delayed opening or early release if necessary.

Tornado warning - Children will be promtly brought inside and taken to a safe location. If warnings continue, parents will be asked to pick up their children within 30 minutes of being contacted.
